The itinerary is designed specifically focussed on the Khasi Hills region which has some amazing natural wonders like the root bridges, limestone caves, numerous falls, canyoning routes, rich forests and much more.
DAY 1 - 23rd Jan 2018 - Fly to Guwahati and transfer to Cherapunjee
Take an early morning flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati, transfer to Cherapunjee (4 hrs drive) Enroute Cherapunjee visit Nohkalikai Falls, Wah Kaba Falls viewpoint. Check in the resort. Over night stay at the resort.
DAY 2 - 24th Jan 2018 - Visit the legendary Living Root Bridge
Today we will hike to the village of Nongriat, which has the legendary double root bridge. Overnight stay at the resort.

A species of Indian Rubber Tree - Ficus Elastica thrives along the streams and rivers in the lower reaches of Khasi hills. Since the rivers come down 3000 ft along the precipitous slopes, these trees have adapted themselves to the heavy soil erosion and perch themselves on high boulders comfortably sending their roots down to the river.
Some of them are as old as 500 yrs and can hold more than 50 people at once.
DAY 3 - 25th Jan 2018 - Cave Exploration
We visit the 4th longest cave on the Indian Subcontinent, Mawluh Cave. This will be by far the most adventurous day of the trip. It showcases amazing formations like flowstones, stalactites, stalagmites, columns. We will provide proper safety gear like helmets, lights, jumpsuits etc. using which we explore the 7 km long cave, though we will only be visiting the first 3 kms of the cave and return back.
This is one of the many active limestone caves in India. Overnight stay at the resort.
DAY 4 - 26th Jan 2018 - Canyoning
Today we indulge into some Canyoning along one of the many river canyons of Cherapunjee. We will come across many clear water pools as we explore the canyon. Feel free to jump in for one of most refreshing dips that you will come across.
Back to the resort and lunch. We get some free time and overnight stay at Cherapunjee.
* Canyoning is travelling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping and swimming.
DAY 5 - 27th Jan 2018 - Cherapunjee to Shillong via Dawki
Post breakfast check out of the hotel and we visit Dawki for boating to see the crystal clear water of Umngot river. We head to Shillong for some sightseeing. Overnight stay at the resort in Shillong.
Day 6 - 28th Jan 2018 - Visit Don Bosco transfer to Guwahati for a flight back home
We check out post breakfast and we do Shillong local sightseeing on the way to Guwahati Airport
